Isle of Wight Foodbank

As a way of reaching out to our neighbours we are a collection point for contributions to the Island Foodbank. Whenever the church is open the facility is available.   The non-perishable food is taken to the warehouse at Cowes every four weeks where it is sorted and packed into emergency food boxes. Frontline care professionals such as doctors and social workers give foodbank vouchers to people in crisis, these can then be exchanged for three days of food at a foodbank.

Foodbanks are open in most of the towns on the island two or three times a week and they not only hand out the food but take time to listen and signpost clients to further support.

Can you help? Donate food? Give funds? Volunteer? Hold a fundraising event?
