Isle of Wight Foodbank
As a way of reaching out to our neighbours we are a collection point for contributions to the Island Foodbank. Whenever the church is open the facility is available. Since the pandemic our collections for foodbank take the form of donations of money.
Frontline care professionals such as doctors and social workers give foodbank vouchers to people in crisis, these can then be exchanged for three days of food at a foodbank.
Foodbanks are open two or three times a week and they not only hand out the food but take time to listen and signpost clients to further support.
